Pour ceux qui étaient aux European Seven’s Grand Prix Series, vous avez probablement remarqué la capitaine de l’Ukraine, Olga Blanutca, une excellente joueuse.

Age: 28 ans

Situation: Professeur d’Université. Entraineur de Rugby également.

Quand as tu débuté le rugby?

J’ai découvert le ballon ovale en 2009.
J’étais étudiante, j’ai été invitée à essayer. J’ai commencé à jouer et depuis je n’ai pas arrêté! J’adore le rugby et je souhaite jouer aussi longtemps que possible!

Quel sport pratiquais tu avant?

Le basketball.

Depuis quand joues tu en équipe nationale pour l’Ukraine?

J’ai commencé à jouer pour l’Ukraine en 2009.

Pas mal! Tu démarres le rugby et direct en équipe nationale!

Oui! Et ensuite je suis devenue capitaine de l’équipe. 

Comment est organisé le championnat en Ukraine? XV and/or 7?

En Ukraine il n’y a pas de championnat à XV.
Le championnat Ukrainien est séparé en 2 divisions: major league (5 équipes) et Super League (5 équipes).
Pendant l’année, nous nous rencontrons 6 fois, 4 tournoi pour le championnat, les finales et une coupe championnat jeune.

Tu étais au tournoi européen U18 en septembre, n’est ce pas? Que faites vous pour développer le rugby féminin en Ukraine?

Cette année nous étions chanceuses, pour la première fois en septembre, une équipe U18 a joué à ce niveau  C’était notre première expérience.
J’adore le rugby et j’entraine les jeunes pour qu’elles découvrent ce sport. A Odessa, nous avons une structure très bien organisée pour le développement des joueuses prometteuses.

As tu déjà joué à l’étranger?

Oui, j’ai déjà joué à l’étranger  dans le championnat du Kazakhastan, de Roumanie, de Moldavie et de Danemark. On m’a également proposé de jouer dans le championnat Anglais et Français, mais à XV.
Après le championnat d’Europe, j’ai été invitée à jouer avec l’équipe Australian Tribe.

Quels sont tes plus beaux souvenirs rugbystique?

Mes plus beaux moments arrivent avec les victoires et c’était magique! Nous avons gagné la division A, le championnat d’Europe et lors de ces tournois j’ai reçu le titre de meilleure joueuse.

Un rêve?

Mon rêve serait de créer une école pour filles, où elles pourraient jouer au rugby.

I met with an oval ball in 2009.
I was a student, I was invited to try out. I start playing and I cannot say goodbye to the sport! I love rugby and I will play as long as I can!

When did you start playing for Ukraine?

I start playing for the national team of Ukraine in 2009.

Nice! you start rugby and directly in national?

Yes! And then I became captain of the national team. 

How is organized the championship in Ukraine? XV and/or 7?

In Ukraine there is no women’s rugby XV.
The Ukraine’s championship is separed in two leagues: major league (5 teams) and Super League (5 teams).
Throughout the year, we meet 6 times, 4 round of the championship of Ukraine, Ukraine and 1 cup Youth Championship.

You went to the U18 european tournament this september, right? How do you work to make womens rugby bigger in Ukraine?

This year we were lucky, for the first time in September, a young team U18 played at this level  this was our first experience.
I love rugby and teach younger to play the game. In Odessa is a very well organized structure for the work and education of good players.

Have you ever played abroad?

Yes, I played abroad  in the championship of Kazakhstan, Romania, Moldova, Denmark. There was a moment I was invited to the championship of England and France, but in rugby XV.
After the European Championship, I was invited to play with the Australian team Tribe.

What is your best memory/memories at rugby?

My best moments come with wins and there are beautiful! We won the Division A, the European Championship and in these tournaments I received the title of best player.
